You are Aiden Caldwall, who has been travelling between human settlements in search of his lost sister, Mia. However, several factions continue to vie for control of the city. Thanks to its quarantine walls, Villedor was spared the worst of the pandemic. Eventually, a mutated variant of the virus escapes a GRE lab and starts a second pandemic that infects the entire world in an event called “The Fall”.ġ5 years later, human civilization is now a handful of scattered human settlements, with the city of Villedor being the last known remaining city on Earth.

However, the Global Relief Effort (GRE) is able to develop a vaccine for the outbreak, ending the threat of the zombie pandemic. With the game finally out in the wild for everyone (save for the Nintendo Switch), Techland has released the launch trailer for their follow-up to the 2015 original.ĭying Light 2: Stay Human centers on the aftermath of the original game, where the original zombie outbreak in Harran ended with the death of all of the city’s citizens.
